FX Convert & Calc ("the Extension", "we", "our") is a Chrome browser extension that provides currency conversion, exchange rate lookups, and a scientific calculator within the Google Chrome Side Panel. We do not use any data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond the core functionality of the Extension.
Local Storage Only: All user preferences are stored in chrome.storage.local, isolated to your browser profile and inaccessible to other extensions or websites.
No Server Storage: We do not operate any database or server that stores user data. There is no account system, no cloud sync, and no user profile associated with your use of the Extension.
Data Removal: All locally stored data (history, preferences, favorites) is permanently deleted when you uninstall the Extension. You can also manually clear history and reset preferences from within the Extension at any time.
To provide live exchange rates, the Extension makes requests to our exchange rate API endpoint. These requests contain only the currency codes being queried (e.g., "USD", "EUR") — no user identifiers, device information, or personal data are included in these requests.
The exchange rate data returned is displayed to you in the Extension. It is not stored permanently beyond your session history preference.
POST /api/currency/conversion with { "from": "USD", "to": "VND", "amout": 100 }. No personal data is sent.FX Convert & Calc does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, social media, or data broker services.
The Extension uses the Google Chrome extension platform and is distributed through the Google Chrome Web Store. Your use is subject to Google's Privacy Policy where applicable to Chrome browser functionality.
FX Convert & Calc is not directed at children under the age of 13. The Extension does not knowingly collect any personal information from children. If you believe a child under 13 is using the Extension and providing personal data, please contact us at the email address below.
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Material changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date above. We may also notify you via the Chrome Web Store listing or within the Extension itself.
