1Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the FX Convert & Calc Chrome Extension ("Extension") developed by Le Duc Gia Hoang ("Developer", "we", "us"). These Terms should be read together with our Privacy Policy.

2Description of Service

FX Convert & Calc is a free Chrome browser extension that provides:

• Real-time currency conversion between 170+ international currencies
• Multi-currency simultaneous conversion (up to 9 currencies at once)
• A built-in scientific calculator with automatic currency conversion of results
• Conversion history and bookmarkable favorite currency pairs
• Interface available in 55 languages
• Customizable wallpaper and interface settings, stored locally

The Extension is free to use and is available through the Google Chrome Web Store. We reserve the right to modify, update, or discontinue the Extension or any feature at any time.

3Eligibility

To use FX Convert & Calc, you must:

• Be at least 13 years of age
• Use a compatible version of the Google Chrome browser
• Agree to comply with these Terms and all applicable laws

4License to Use

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, the Developer grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the Extension for personal, non-commercial purposes.

This license does not include the right to:

• Copy, modify, or create derivative works of the Extension
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Extension
• Distribute, resell, or sublicense the Extension
• Use the Extension for commercial resale of exchange rate data

5Exchange Rate Accuracy

Exchange rates are sourced from a third-party API and updated regularly, but may not reflect the exact rates offered by banks, financial institutions, or currency exchange services at any given moment. Rates may vary due to:

• Market fluctuations and real-time trading conditions
• API update frequency and data propagation delays
• Bank or broker spreads and service fees

For actual financial transactions, always confirm rates directly with your bank, broker, or financial service provider.

6User Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

• Verification of rates: Independently confirming exchange rates before making financial decisions based on information from the Extension.
• Device security: Maintaining the security of your device and Chrome profile. Your stored preferences (history, favorites) are accessible to anyone with access to your browser profile.
• Compliance: Complying with all applicable laws and regulations when performing currency-related transactions in your jurisdiction.

7Prohibited Uses

You agree not to use the Extension to:

• Violate any applicable local, national, or international law or regulation
• Engage in any fraudulent, deceptive, or misleading financial activity
• Systematically scrape or harvest exchange rate data for commercial redistribution
• Interfere with, disrupt, or exploit the Extension's functionality or API endpoints
• Attempt to circumvent any security or rate-limiting mechanisms

8Disclaimer of Warranties

THE EXTENSION IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY OF EXCHANGE RATES, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.

The Developer does not warrant that:

• Exchange rates will be accurate, complete, or current at all times
• The Extension will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at all times
• The Extension will be compatible with all Chrome versions or operating systems
• The API service will have 100% uptime

9Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE DEVELOPER SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

• Financial losses from reliance on exchange rates displayed by the Extension
• Loss of data or preferences stored by the Extension
• Interruptions or errors in exchange rate data availability
• Any other damages resulting from your use or inability to use the Extension

The Developer's total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Extension, which is zero as the Extension is free.

10Termination

These Terms remain in effect while you use the Extension. You may terminate at any time by uninstalling the Extension from Chrome.

We reserve the right to discontinue, modify, or restrict access to the Extension or its API at any time without prior notice.

11Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Material changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the Extension after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

12Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of Vietnam. Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts located in Vietnam.
